Nina Shapiro, MD

Dr. Nina L. Shapiro is the Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology and a Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. A graduate of Harvard Medical School and Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences (cum laude), she completed her surgical internship at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital and her residency at The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, also in Boston. She has won the Young Investigators Award (1998 AAP), Basic Science Research Award (ASPO 2007) and a faculty teaching award for the UCLA Division of Head and Neck Surgery (2001). She has authored a popular medicine book titled “Take a Deep Breath: Clear the Air for the Health of Your Child” and has appeared multiple times on the TV show “The Doctors”.
